Oriental Herbs Support Your Body To Better Health
Modern oriental medicine is based on a holism of mind, body and spirit, helping to accelerate
the natural healing power inherent in the body. It involves a unique treatment plan optimised
for healing each individual I work with.
What can herbs help me with?
I tend to use herbs mainly as a tonic, to improve energy and circulation, however oriental herbs have been used for a wide range of symptoms for over 3000 years and are still a fundamental part of healthcare in Eastern hospitals today.
Throughout its history oriental herbal medicine has continually developed in response to changing clinical conditions, and has been sustained by research into every aspect of its use. This process continues today with the development of modern medical diagnostic techniques and knowledge. Conditions researched in the West include:
- Allergies
- Atopic dermatitis
- Atopic eczema
- Cancer - relieving side effects from cancer treatment
- Circulatory disorders
- Endometriosis
- Fertility
- Female infertility
- Gastro-intestinal disorders
- Gynaecological conditions
- Irritable bowel syndrome
- Skin conditions

Why herbs?
There are times when acupuncture is not enough on its own to bring you back to full health,
and I may suggest we use herbs to support your body to achieve the desired results more quickly.
Are they safe?
The pharmacies I use are controlled by the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) and to assure the highest quality, all my herbs come from suppliers on an Approved Suppliers Scheme governed by the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine. I use powders of dried herbs - flowers, leaves, roots, seeds and berries - all dissolved in boiling water like instant coffee and drunk when cool.
