Swedish / Therapeutic Massage

Similar to Holistic massage, Swedish massage is a classic full body massage good for relieving pain, releasing 
tension in muscles and for improving circulation.  A session can be either deep or gentle depending on what you prefer. This is a full body massage and oil/cream is used. Relief from muscle tension and better sleep are just a few of the benefits following a Swedish massage session.

​Agata Obara

A graduate with a degree in Physiotherapy, Agata has also
studied various massage techniques over the years including,
Deep Tissue,  Hot Stone, KCR and Swedish massage, oftern combining these to suit
the client needs.  Since 2010, Agata has also been working with patients suffering
 from cystic fibrosis  at Western General Hospital in Edinburgh.

Emma Jane Veitch MTI 
Emma believes in taking a person centred approach to her work.  Every treatment or programme of therapy is specially tailored to suit the individual based on their needs.  Emma qualified and is registered with the Massage Training Institute.  Emma has additionally studied Advanced Myofascial Release including direct and non direct techniques and integrates these into her sessions with clients.  Emma also studied Thai massage in Chang Mai and enjoys blending Eastern and Western therapeutic methods together to create a style that reflects her ethos.  Emma also                         represents the Scottish MTI as a regional representative and is a teaching assistant    with the Holistic School of Therapy Edinburgh. http://www.emmajaneveitch.co.uk/

Hannah Langley 
Having gained her qualifications at Edinburgh College, she has since acquired a multitude of experience with various clients and treatments. Hannah tailors treatments to meet clients needs and her massages are targeted towards relaxation, pain and stress relief. She is qualified in Swedish massage, Indian Head Massage and Freestyle Deep Tissue massage.

Dawn has a holistic approach aiming to get you what you want out of the treatment, whether that’s relaxation, pain relief or stress relief. She is also a qualified therapist in Swedish and Thai massage.

​Gilliana Kobeila 

Gilliana is a registered therapist of the Massage Training Institute. She is also a member of the MTI research group and has a great interest in exploring the role of massage therapy in relation to chronic pain, anxiety and stress relief. Gilliana works holistically using a blend of Swedish and myofascial techniques that are effective while being kind to the body.

​Wendy Burns 
​A native of Edinburgh, Wendy has from a young age had a gift for the healing arts. After studying in places as far away as Thailand and Mexico and eventually graduating with diplomas in massage from the Demi International Academy in Queensland Australia, Wendy went on to establish her own healing company Ardor in the Lake District working closely with the NHS in Penrith Cumbria. In addition to being a massage therapist, Wendy is a Usui Reiki Practitioner.
