Weekly Yoga Classes
- We offer a variety of different styles of Yoga from gentle to more dynamic, with classes for absolute beginners to more advanced students.
- Our teachers are all fully qualified with loads of experience in their different Yoga traditions.
- Our classes are small. No big business Yoga factories here! Maximum number is 10 maybe 12 students tops.
- One-to-one private yoga sessions are available to help you learn the basics or improve your practice.
- We have yoga mats available to use if you do not have your own.

Polly Rewt
Polly Rewt has taught yoga in Edinburgh for over 15 years and has been teaching one of the Centre's most popular classes. She teaches a variety of styles — Hatha, Ashtanga, Yin, Restorative yoga – to people of all ages and abilities. She is especially interested in helping people to feel at home in their bodies and to understand how to look after themselves so that they can thrive. Simple practices like breathing well, with awareness, and learning how to relax, inform all of her teaching. These skills are the foundation of good health and well being.

Hatha is a well-rounded style of yoga that teaches a range of postures, flowing sequences and breathing practices. It relaxes, stretches and strengthens the whole body and improves balance. Hatha yoga is refreshing and calming, helping us to shed the stresses and strains of daily life.
What to expect
You’ll learn to flow postures together in sun salutations and standing sequences, and how to do a range of yoga postures-- twists, forward and backbends. The emphasis on working safely, according to what you need, means you’ll learn how to tailor hatha yoga so that you feel good during and after the class. And want to do yoga again.
Mats are available at the Healthy Life Centre or bring your own.

Andrea Cabrera draws inspiration from the calm energy her students create when they practice yoga, breathing and meditation.
